SEMINAR #3 - "The Confidence Crisis/Building Blocks of Self-Esteem" - Descriptions of children with low self-esteem are shared and discussed in terms of their ability to function in a social classroom setting. Participants see that positive and personal relationships with children are key to learning.  Specific strategies for building self-esteem are presented as well as best methods for dealing with low self-esteem. Presenter's experience as well as researched "best practices" from the "trenches", seek to ameliorate what has been shown as one of the greatest obstacles to success in the school setting and to future success as an adult. The common manifestations of low self-esteem are presented along with "what works" to make children feel good about themselves, thereby allowing for greater life chances through learning.  All educators are invited to attend this seminar.
