SEMINAR #1 - "Involving Parents in Educating Their Children" - Parents over the last 3 to 4 decades have slowly abrogated their responsibilities as the child's "first teacher".  Research  shows that 93% of the child's life between birth and age 18 is spent outside of the school's influence.  Additionally, only 20% of a student's waking hours during a school year are actually spent in school.  Parents must rejoin with us, in sharing the educational process. This seminar presents clear and simple strategies for parents to help their children while very young. It seeks to rekindle the sense of responsibility lost and reunite the home with the school. The presentation features "Standards for Parents" with 90 indicators to be taught before children enter school. It is applicable to parent groups, teaching/support staff and administration, as well.
